On Thursday, December 5, 2024 (from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM, Álvaro del Portillo Aula), our University hosted the lessons of the 2nd module of the 8th Edition of the Joint Diploma in Integral Ecology, an initiative shared by the Pontifical Universities and Institutes of Rome to spread the vision and mission of Pope Francis' Laudato si'.
The lessons, entitled The Gospel of Creation, were given by Prof. Prem Xalxo of the Gregorian University, Prof. Arturo Bellocq of Santa Croce, and Prof. Linda Pocher of Auxilium.
The activity takes place over the course of an academic year (November 2024 - June 2025) and is divided into six modules, corresponding to the six chapters of Laudato si’. Each module includes two subsections to cover all areas related to current ecological challenges – from theology to philosophy, from economics to socio-cultural and political issues, and from scientific analysis to faith and spirituality. Each module takes place in a different location.
Our School of Theology grants 6 ECTS to those who obtain the Diploma.
